Here are the team members who are helping to make our project a success.

The page will be updated during the project as we bring more people on board.

Team members – supplying goods

Ligna Group  supply the sustainable building products Ligna Stone and Timbercrete.  They make bricks and blocks in a variety of shapes and colours.  We use the blocks in reverse brick veneer walls and for garage walls.

Vic Mix provide the concrete used in the foundations and floor slab.

Aspect Windows manufacture wood framed, double glazed windows and doors.  We are using a range of their window styles – sashless, hopper, casement and awning.

Team members – supplying services

Green Rate carried out the NatHERS energy rating assessments for our designs.

Gary from Sustainable Power Systems (0407 873 862) supplies the electrical skills and experience required for our project.  He is responsible for installing the electrical circuits and fittings as well as the solar cells and home battery.

Highland Plumbing and Heating supported our project in many ways.  Plumbing services included water systems and roofing.  Gavin also installed the heat pump hot water service and reverse cycle air conditioner.

Simon Sango (0401 034 544) is the brickie who laid the Timbercrete blocks for the garage and internal walls.  Although he hadn’t worked with the product previously, Simon saw the opportunity to learn new skills and enthusiastically jumped into the project.  His attention to detail produced a terrific result which met David’s high standards for the build.

Russell Polec from Boab Woodcraft (0413 705 251) built and installed the joinery items for the kitchen and bedrooms.  A good example of his craftsmanship is the beautiful reclaimed messmate bench top for the island bench in the kitchen.

With more than 30 years providing concrete design, installation and refurbishing services in Melbourne and surrounds, Palacon has earned its reputation as the city’s premier high-quality concreting company. Frank and his team did the work on our foundations, slab and concrete driveways.

Dan Molloy from Terra Firm Creations (0431 080 498) is our landscape gardener. He enjoys designing gardens that complement and enhance the look of the home. Dan is always on the lookout for opportunities to include eye-catching features in his landscapes, as shown by this unique vertical garden.
