Sorry about the climate change, but we’d like to help
This You Tube video was shown by the students organising an assembly for World Environment Day. It’s a powerful message about the likely consequences of unchecked climate change.
As a member of the generation who has enjoyed the fruits of our fossil fuel based society, I do feel a responsibility for helping future generations cope with what we have done to the planet. At the time, the future seemed so bright with limitless resources at our disposal. There didn’t seem to be any consequences for unchecked growth.
I hope that building our houses with embedded sustainable design principles is one way to show that action is possible. We can change the way we do things for the better.
